Whimsy was a pup from Raven’s second litter. His sire is Ch. Starsign’s Best Bet of Monarch, “Charlie”.
Whimsy is my soul mate. His huge, dark, expressive eyes tell it all.
Whimsy earned the honor of “Best Toy Puppy” at the Salisbury Kennel Club Match when he was only 3 months old
Whimsy set foot in the show ring on his sixth month birthday and won Winner’s Dog at the Annapolis Kennel Club.
Then, he grew too big for the show ring.
Whimsy stole my heart and there was no way that he was going anywhere.
In September, 2006, Whimsy began Obedience classes as well as Rally classes. He started competing in Rally Novice “B” trials in the November at Salisbury Kennel Club. He quickly earned his three qualifying legs at that level, placing 4th and 5th out of 40+ dogs in his first two trials with scores or 96 and 98. His last trial he scored a 98 to gain his title. He also achieved his Canine Good Citizen’s Title at Salisbury Kennel Club.
Whimsy will compete in Novice B at Metropolitan Area Papillon Club Specialty in February ’07 in Warrenton Virginia. This is the same show where his mother was awarded the “BOS” – Best of Opposite Sex” in 2006. He will go on to compete in Rally Advanced A and Obedience Novice B at the PCA Nationals in San Antonio, Texas in April, 2007.

“Whimsy now has 7 AKC titles. In November ’06 he earned his Canine Good Citizen’s title. In December he earned his Rally Novice Title.
At PCA Nationals in Texas he earned his Rally Advanced and his CD. In June, Rally Excellent. In October, Novice Agility jumpers and in November, Novice Agility.” He is currently working towards his Rae – (higest Rally Title) and his Open Agility titles.”

Whimsy Now Has 5 Titles!!
Whimsy, Forevermore Raven’s Whimsy, now has five performance titles!
He started obedience classes in fall ’06 and Rally classes in October ’06. His first Rally trial was in November’06 and he had his first RN (Rally Novice) title in three trials back to back at Salisbury K.C and Catoctin K.C., coming in 4th place out of 44 dogs at Salisbury. His scores were in the high 90’s each trial.
He also earned his Canine Good Citizen Title at Salisbury K.C.
He also began competing in Novice Obedience. He completed that title in March in Maryland and went on the win second place out of a large class of Novice “B” competitors at the Papillon Club of America National Specialty in San Antonio, Texas in April.
In March, he began his quest for his Rally Advanced ”B” title, finishing the title with a third place award at the PCA National.
Whimsy then went on to compete in the Rally Excellent “B” classes at the Southern Maryland and Rock Creek Kennel Club shows in Bel Alton, Maryland in July. He earned that title in one weekend, receiving a 4th place out of a large entry, including three of his own Rally instructors!
In May, Whimsy began training for aAgility. He was born to compete for this event! Whimsy loves to “jump, jump. jump”, and climb, and “get in” the tunnels, walk the dog walk and the teeter totter and jump through tires. He was in his first trial (a match) in August and earned 194 points out of 200!
We are now looking for agility trials in our area for the fall, as well as entering shows to earn his RAE. This event, Whimsy must compete in Rally Advanced AND Excellent classes at the same show and qualify in both events at that show – and do this at 10 different shows for his RAE Title.
