Ransom get 4 BOB in one month!
Ransom started out 2012 with a bang - winning 4 "Best of Breeds" in one week. He is now half way to his GCH (Grand Championship).

We have had four new Champions at Patuxent Kennels in 2011.
Boogie, Nightfire's Just Dance, traveled to Oklahoma City in May for the Spring Specialty there. Although mostly handled by Sue Whaley, Jackie Braezeale offered to take her in the ring for me. So, Boogie received her second major at the Central Oklahoma Toy Dog Specialty, finishing her AKC Championship Title.

Gucci, Patuxent's On the Runway, earned her AKC title in May, 2011. Owned by Juile and Miriya Tune and Letty McNulty and handled by Clayton Mooney, Sue Whaley and Letty McNulty, Gucci started showing in December, 2010 and completed her AKC Championship title in June 2011. She went on to complete the qualifications for her Grand Champion Title in July, 2011.

Prince, Patuxent's Le Petite Prince, started showing in December, 2010 and finished his title in November, 2011 at 20 months of age. Prince was handled mostly by Clayton Mooney, but also handled in the BBE classes by owner Letty McNulty. Sue Whaley picked up his final point as Letty could not make it to the show.

Gucci invited to Orland for the Eukanuba Invitational. 
Gucci, GCH Patuxent's On the Runway, was invited to the Eukanuba National Invitational Dog Show, held in Orlando, FLA., in December 2011.

Ann and Arrow win JWW against 50+ dogs.
Arrow, Patuxent's Fletcher Hits the Mark, started his agility career in Spring of 2011 at 15 months of age. Owned, trained and handled by Ann Truffa, Arrow quickly worked his way into the EX "B" classes. He won a large 8" JWW class at the Oriole Dog Training Club trial in December, 2011, in Westminster, MD. Arrow is a product of an Attie X Pilot, 2010 litter that produced Gucci, Arrow, Knight (also in EX "B" agility classes,) and Charlie who is training in agility classes.
November 2011
Prince finished his AKC CH title at the Turkey Cluster shows in West Friendship, MD, in November, 2011. Prince began his show career in December, 2010 in Chambersburg, PA., where he won a 4 point major out of the 6-9 month puppy class. Handled by Clayton Mooney, Prince continued to make a statement in the show ring as a puppy when he won Best of Opposite Sex in Sweepsteaks at the 2011 MAPS specialty show. He also placed in the ribbons at the 2012 PCA NAtional show in Chatanooga, TN. He took the summer and fall off of to grow his ear fringe back after a visiting friend "played" most of it off! In November, 2011, Prince was entered in the BBE classes at the Turkey Cluster on Friday through Sunday, and the Open Dog classes on Monday (because I had to go to work.) He needed 6 more points - including a major - to finish his title. Prince won BOW (Best of Winners) for 2 points on Friday, RWD Saturday, BOW for a 3 point major on Sunday - all out of the Bred By Exhibitor classes. Sue Whaley put the last point on him that Monday fo finish his title.
Boogie now competing in Excellent Standard and JWW
Boogie began training for agility in Fall, 2010. She was in her first trials in spring 2011. Boogie is now in EX B JWW and Standard classes - and in EX "A" FAST classes. Boogie is taking time off from her agility copmetitions to have her first litter, due in January 2012.

Patuxent Papillons made a statement at the 2011 MAPS
Patuxent Papillons made a statement at the 2011 Metropolitan Area Papillon Club Specialty show in February, 2011. Ransom, Patuxent's Ransom in Gold Dust, was Best of Opposite in the Match. Gucci, Patuxent's On the Runway, was Best in Sweepstakes and Prince, Patuxent's Le Petite Prince, was Best of Opposite in Sweepstakes. WOW! Ransom placed 2nd in the large Bred By Exhibitor class and Prince was 3rd in the 12-18 mos. class. Gucci won the large BBE bitch class and was named the Best BBE in the show. She went on to earn Reserve Winners Bitch in the show.
